SDVOSB
The SBA encourages the government to award contracts to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs). The sole-source program was developed to enable government Program Managers to save time, effort, and cost in the procurement process. Under FAR 19.1406, the government can award a sole-source SDVOSB contract if: (1) The government determines that the qualified small business is a responsible performer; (2) The resulting contract can be awarded at a fair/reasonable market price; and (3) The government estimate doesn't exceed the relevant sole-source threshold of $5M.
